The Board of Elders of Crossroad Community, Inc. is deeply committed to the highest level of accountability in life, ministry and finances. Scripture is clear that Christians are called to submit to governing authorities and laws unless forced to disobey the Word of God. Christian churches and ministries should establish the strongest legal foundation and financial accountability in their lives, churches and ministries. In fact, Christians should be the standard-bearer for society.
In 1 Peter 2:17, the Word of God says to “Fear God, Honor the King.” Christians cannot claim to revere and honor the holiness of God while simultaneously dishonoring their governing leaders. Similarly, Christians cannot claim to fear God with reverence and awe while simultaneously dishonoring their pastors. To fear God is to honor our leaders. Here at Crossroad Community we take the Word of God seriously and live by it. We stand on both the warnings and promises of God.
Legal Team
Scripture is clear that we are called to be in submission to the laws of the land. The Board of Elders of Crossroad Community, Inc hired a team of the best legal experts in the country to ensure that Crossroad Community, Inc. would have the strongest legal foundation possible. StartChurch, Inc. is located in Lawrenceville Georgia and has assisted over 13,000 Christian churches and ministries to ensure this solid legal foundation without compromising the Word of God.
According to StartChurch, the laws of this country “provide for ways in which churches can legally establish themselves thus becoming entities that can act and operate in ways that are understandable to men.” Today’s complex tax laws, recent court cases and governmental regulations make “launching Christian churches and ministries enormously difficult.”
The legal team of StartChurch, Inc. provided Crossroad Community, Inc the solid, legal foundation necessary to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Butler and Western Pennsylvania within a unique and customized vision. This team listened to the dreams and visions several of us received by God and formed the Constitution and Bylaws of this church around God’s vision. The team consulted and adjusted the necessary paperwork from the beginning to ensure that Crossroad Community, Inc. be a legally sound ministry. In turn, every believer and participant in fellowship with Crossroad Community, Inc. can be confident that its corporate veil is undeniable and this ministry honors the Word of God and the governing authorities which God has established.
In addition, every believer and participant in fellowship with Crossroad Community, Inc. can also be assured that the Board of Elders maintains all the necessary and legal documents required to operate a Christian church and ministry. Some of these records include Articles of Incorporation, Corporate Agreements, Form SS-4, Constitution & Bylaws, Letter of Determination, Sales Tax Exemption, Resolutions and Board of Elders Meeting Minutes. Constitution & Bylaws
The Constitution & Bylaws of Crossroad Community adheres to a structure that flows in line with biblical authority and theocratic form of government. All policies are subordinate to the regulations within the Constitution & Bylaws of Crossroad Community. Some of these approved policies include but not limited to Anti-Terrorism, Benevolence, Cell Phone, Conflict of Interest, Handling Donated Property, Intellectual Property and Records Retention.
