Beliefs
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15 NIV).
A Sending Community
As a family of believers, we are not about a historical figure but a living, active God. We are not about a belief system but living out a deeply intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. We are not about a life of intellectual salvation but a heart transformed by unwavering obedience and prayer.Prayer is our response to the desires of the Holy Spirit. Prayer and faith without corresponding action is simply religious activity, a form of godliness but denying its power (2 Timothy 3:5).
True spiritual maturity is revealed in times of persecution, trials and hardships.Every born-again follower of Christ has God-given authority over all the power of the enemy and to “heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out demons” (Luke 10:19; Matthew 10:8). We have in Christ all the authority and power of heaven backing us up. And this is God’s will for every follower of Christ!
God
The Bible declares the one, perfect and holy God is eternally existent in three Persons as the Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit. We believe God is sovereign and continues to oversee and rule the world for His purpose and pleasure. God did not create sin, but continues to govern the world in such a way as to allow all things to work together for those who obey and follow Him.

Jesus Christ
The Bible declares Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the only Lord and Savior of the world. The Bible also declares the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death on the Cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His return in power and glory to judge the world.
[See Exodus 3:14; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6-7; Micah 5:1-2; Matthew 1, 3:11-17, 27:45-54; Mark 8:27-30, 16:61b-62; Luke 1:27-35, 3:23-38, 10:21-24; John 1:1-14, 3:16, 6:41, 6:69, 8:58, 10:11-18, 10:30, 11:17-27, 14:6,14:15-17, 15:1-8, 20:28; Acts 17:2-3; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Philippians 2:5-6, 2:10-11; Colossians 1, 1 Timothy 2:5-7, 3:16; Revelation 5:5, 7:3-8]
Holy Spirit
The Bible declares the Holy Spirit and His work exists within the world. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins, leads us to a life of repentance, sanctifies and strengthens our relationship with Jesus Christ and comforts us in times of trials. The Holy Spirit also guides us to teach others the truth about Jesus Christ and helps us to lead a life of holiness and purity.

Salvation
The Bible declares everyone is born with a sinful nature and that the work of the Cross was to redeem us from the power of sin. The Bible also says salvation is a gift from God and this gift is available to everyone only through Jesus Christ. Salvation is not a result of any human effort. Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In addition, the Bible affirms Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and humanity and there is no other name by which we may receive eternal life.

The Bible
We believe the Bible (66 Books of the Old and New Testament) is the only authoritative, inspired, infallible, inerrant, and holy Word of God. We believe the Bible (the Holy Scriptures) is the complete revelation of God’s will for humanity and the absolute authority to govern our lives.
[See Psalm 12:6, 18:30, 119:89, 119:140; Proverbs 30:5; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:17-18, 24:35; Mark 14:48-49; John 5:39, 7:42, 10:35; Acts 17:11-12; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:16, 4:13; Hebrews 4:12-13]
Authority
The Bible says Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and all authority is given to Him. Therefore, the Church is subject to His authority and the Bible. We believe God places elders and pastors to lead us and hold us accountable; thus, we are called to submit ourselves to their authority and all those who God has placed in authority over us. The Bible calls gossip sin as it undermines the authority, integrity and leadership of the Church. Gossip has no place within the body of Christ.
[See Nehemiah 10:34-38, 13:10-13; Psalms 39:1, 66:18; Proverbs 4:24, 6:12-15, 20:19, 21:23; Matthew 7:29, 9:6, 12:36-37, 28:18; John 10:18; Romans 13:1-7; 2 Corinthians 12:20; Ephesians 5:11, 5:22-6:9; Colossians 1:16-18; 1 Thessalonians 5:12-14; 1 Timothy 3:11, 5:17; Titus 3:1-2; Hebrews 13:17; James 3:2; 1 Peter 3:22]
Repentance
The Bible says repentance is the commitment to confess and turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Jesus Christ. We believe through repentance we receive forgiveness from God, His redemption in Jesus Christ and made righteous by the Holy Spirit.
[See Jeremiah 15:19; Ezekiel 18:30-32; Matthew 3:2, 10:32; Mark 1:4; Luke 13:1-5, 15:7, 17:3, 17:30, 24:45-47; Acts 2:21, 2:38, 3:19-20, 4:12, 17:30; Romans 3:23, 5:1-2, 6:1-7; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21; 2 Peter 3:9]
Evangelism
The Bible says evangelism is the privilege, command and obligation for every follower of Christ to go out and make (develop) disciples throughout the world. We believe that everyone is first responsible to evangelism in his or her own family as the Holy Spirit leads them and gives them the ability.
[See Matthew 9:37-38, 28:18-20; Mark 14:9, 16:15; Luke 1:19, 2:10, 3:18, 4:18, 7:22, 8:1, 9:6, 9:23, 16:16, 20:1; John 20:21; Acts 1:8, 10:42, 24:46, 26:17-18; 2 Corinthians 4:3; 2 Timothy 4:2]
Priesthood of All Believers
The Bible tells us that every follower of Christ has a unique relationship with the Lord. All believers are called as disciples of Jesus Christ to serve and minister to the world. As His people, every believer has unlimited access to the power of God through Jesus Christ and the ability to manifest and impart resurrected power and healing of the Holy Spirit through prayer, intercession and laying on of the hands.
This recognition of priesthood of all believers is given by the Holy Spirit to all believers in Jesus Christ. All believers in Jesus Christ are commissioned to testify to the Lord Jesus Christ, to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20), to baptize (Mark 16:14-17; Acts 8:36-39), to celebrate communion (Exodus 12:3-10, 21; Acts 2:46), to encourage one another and to minister to the needs of the Body of Christ.
[See Genesis 12:1-4, 37:1-11; Exodus 19:6; Judges 4:4; Jeremiah 1:1; Amos 1:1; Zephaniah 1:1; Matthew 10:1, 10:6-7; 28:18-19; Acts 8:1-3, 9:1-22; 1 Corinthians 12:7, 14, 27; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20; Ephesians 1:4-14, 6:10-18; Hebrews 4:14-5:10; 1 Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:5-6]
Prayer & Worship
The Bible commands every follower of Jesus Christ to lead a life of prayer. The Bible calls us to pray in all circumstances and occasions. Every follower of Christ has the authority to ask freely of the Lord for his or her needs. Similarly, the Bible also tells us worship is a way of life and approves the worship of Jesus Christ through music, singing, clapping, and the lifting of our hands.

A Life of Holiness
The Bible declares every follower of Jesus Christ is called to holiness in all areas of life. While the Bible captures the grace and love of Jesus Christ, it is equally clear about human behavior. Every follower of Christ is expected to live by a standard of behavior, and this standard is subject to the absolute authority of the Bible and Jesus Christ.
[See Exodus 31:13; Leviticus 20:24; Deuteronomy 23:14, 32:51; Joshua 24:19; Isaiah 35:8; Ezekiel 38:23; Matthew 5:48; Romans 6:19, 12:1; 1 Corinthians 1:2; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Ephesians 3:5; Colossians 1:22; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; 1 Timothy 2:2-8; 2 Timothy 1:9, 3:15; Titus 1:8; Hebrews 10:14, 12:2-10; 1 Peter 1:16, 2:5; 2 Peter 3:11]
Marriage
The Bible defines marriage as a holy covenant between a male and female and God. Marriage and its boundaries were created, established and instituted by God alone. The Bible declares any other form of marriage (or civil union) is sin and contrary to the Word of God.
[See Genesis 2:20b-24; Deuteronomy 23:17-18; Proverbs 5:18-20; Matthew 8:14,19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9; 1 Corinthians 7:1-11; Ephesians 5:22-33- 6:1-4; 1 Timothy 31-13]
Sexuality
The Bible defines human sexuality as a gift created and established by God within the boundaries of marriage. The Bible is abundantly clear that any sexual act outside the boundaries of marriage is sin and sexual immorality. The bible mandates all believers to live every day without even a hint of sexual immorality. In addition, the Bible declares homosexuality as sin and contrary the Word of God and the nature of God.
[See Genesis 1:24; Leviticus 18; Deuteronomy 22:5, 22:13-30; Proverbs 5:15, 7:25-27; Matthew 5:27-28; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-20; 2 Corinthians 6:16-7:1; Galatians 5:19-26; Ephesians 5:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Titus 2:11-12; Revelation 2:20]
Sanctity of Life
The Bible declares everyone is both made in the image of God and a sinner in need of Jesus Christ. Life is created and sustained by God through the work of the Cross and the by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible also declares life is a gift from God and it must be honored, treasured and protected.
[See Genesis 1:26-28, 9:5-6, 16:11, 19:23-25, 25:22-28, 38; Exodus 20:13, 21:22-25; Numbers 35:33-34; Deuteronomy 5:17, 7:12-14, 24:16; Judges 13:2-5; Psalm 22:9-10, 106:37-38, 113:7-9; 127:3, 139:1-18; Proverbs 6:16-17, 8:36b, 24:11-12; Ecclesiastes 3:1-8; Isaiah 44:24, 46:3-4, 49:1; Jeremiah 1:4-5; Ezekiel 16:20-22; Hosea 4:6; Amos 1:13; Matthew 7:12, 18:1-14; 19:13-15; Luke 1:15-17; John 3:16-17, 8:44, 10:10; Romans 8:15, 9:4-8; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 1:15, 4:4-5; Ephesians 1:5; James 1:27; 1 Peter 2:16; Revelation 12:1-17]
Tithing
The Bible defines tithing as the measure of obedience to the Scriptural principles of stewardship. The Bible tells us that “a tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the tress, belongs to the Lord.” Therefore, we are called and commanded to “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse.” In the New Testament, Jesus did not abolish the Jewish Law but fulfilled it. In turn, Jesus honored and upheld the Old Testament principles of tithing.
[See Genesis 14:20; Leviticus 27:30-32; Numbers 18:21-26; Deuteronomy 12:4-7, 14:22-28, 26:12; 2 Chronicles 31:5-6; Nehemiah 10:35-38, 12:43-47, 13:11-13; Malachi 3:10-11; Matthew 5:17, 23:23; Luke 11:42]
Financial Debt
The Bible defines financial debt as bondage and not God’s intention for His people. While the Bible does not prohibit financial debt and borrowing, God prefers His people free from such bondage.
[See Genesis 41:35-36; Deuteronomy 15:6; Psalms 37:21, 109:11; Proverbs 6:1-5, 11:15, 13:1, 17:18, 21:5, 21:20, 22:7, 22:26-27, 24:27, 27:23, 28:20, 37:21; Matthew 6:24; Luke 8:14, 14:28-30; Romans 13:8; Philippians 4:12-13; 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12; 1 Timothy 5:8]
Israel
The Bible promises in Genesis 12:2-3 that all those who obey and follow Jesus Christ are called to support and honor the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. We believe this is an eternal covenant between God and Abraham and this covenant still applies today.
[See Genesis 12:2-3, 13:14-18, 15:1-21, 17:4-8, 22:15-18, 26:115; Psalm 89:28-37, 122:6; Matthew 8:5-13, 25:40; Luke 7:1-10, 23:38; John 4:22; Acts 10; Romans 9-11, 15:27; 1 John 3:18]
The Church
The Bible defines the Church as the eternal and universal Body of Christ consisting of all those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and His atonement on the Cross. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church for the purpose to rule, teach and use as He chooses. The Church is called to proclaim the Resurrection and Lordship of Jesus Christ, to make disciples and preserve absolute truth. In addition, the Bible declares that the mission of the church is to lead everyone to repentance and a life of prayer, worship and obedience to the Word of God.

Sacraments of Baptism & Lord’s Supper
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are reminders of the beginning and the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry. The Lord’s Supper reminds us of our covenant with God, life of repentance and obedience to the Word of God, the forgiveness of our sins, our God-given authority, the work of the Cross and the second coming of Jesus Christ as the exclusive Savior of the world.
Baptism is an act of repentance, a commitment to obedience to the Word of God and a prophetic declaration of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. In Hebrew 6:2 and Matthew 3:11, Scripture reveals a Baptism of repentance and a Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Heaven & Hell
The Bible acknowledges that both Heaven and Hell exist. The Bible tells us Heaven is the eternal place where all followers of Jesus Christ will live in the presence of God. On the other hand, Hell is the eternal dwelling place where the rest will be judged by God and tormented with the devil and the fallen angels.
